David Rook, based in Richmond, VA, is the owner of Next Frontier Recovery, where he provides strategic leadership to a team dedicated to delivering high-quality recovery services. As the president, he collaborates with the director of operations to ensure the efficient functioning of recovery residences and the successful integration of clinical services within partial hospitalization programs (PHP). Additionally, David actively represents his company in the community, working closely with government agencies, court systems, and other recovery providers.
In his industry involvement, Mr. Rook served as the board president of the Virginia Association of Recovery Residencies from 2014 to 2022. During his tenure, the organization secured $3 million annually to expand indigent care and recovery residence offerings. He also coordinated with the state’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services to develop a state certification system for recovery facilities.
Mr. Rook’s background includes a previous role as president and partner of True Recovery RVA in Richmond, VA, as well as serving as the operations manager at a McShin Foundation location in Henrico. He has presented at numerous recovery conferences on both state and national levels and has led peer training and community-building workshops.
